Osprey has been in the backpack business since 1974. It’s all they do – so it isn’t surprising that they do it very well. The Ozone 46L Travel Pack is no exception. This bag provides ample, well-organized storage, and comfortable ventilated straps all in an extremely light weight package.

Features & Observations
My family & I travel quite frequently and I always carry a backpack with essentials for keeping my two young children entertained along the way. That includes multiple electronic devices, extra clothing, snacks, books, hand wipes, first aid supplies, etc. As my kids got bigger, I found my Osprey Comet 30L got smaller. Enter the Ozone 46L. I gained over 50% more storage while adding almost no incremental weight.
I’ve had the pack about 6 months now and used it for multiple day trips as well as 1 domestic and 2 international flights. There’s loads of room in this pack and the clever design means everything is easy to access, even in the tight confines of an aircraft seat. The bag offers 6 different zippered compartments, excluding the interior pockets and pouches, so there is a place for everything – and everything has a place.
Uses
As the name suggests, this bag is designed for travelling and that’s where it really shines. If you’re a light packer, I’d estimate this bag has everything you need for a 5-7 day trip. That said, it also works well for day trips and casual hiking. Despite the 46L capacity, it’s so light that you don’t notice the added size when it isn’t fully loaded.
Conclusions
With a 46L capacity and well-organized storage combined in an ultra light weight pack, the Osprey Ozone 46 is a versatile and practical option whether your travels take you around town or around the world.
