You surely want to avoid boredom and this is why you must be planning to take books, magazines or a notebook with you for which you will need a backpack.

Here is a tip from my side, make sure you do not carry a big backpack that you carry for outdoors, camping, or hiking. Mark sure to carry a compact and small-sized backpack that will not look as if you carry it for jury duty.

Can you bring your laptop inside your backpack to the Jury Duty?

Electronics are strictly prohibited from jury duty because the court does not want someone to take pictures, videos, or record audio. As the laptop has a webcam and it is an electronic device you can not bring it with you to jury duty.

But, you are allowed to carry your phone and the only condition applied here is that it should remain silent and do not use until it is an emergency. 

Can I bring my purse to court?

Purse and tote bags both are used to carry items just like backpacks and this is why you are allowed to carry a purse and tote bags to carry your books, magazines, and notebooks.

How to prepare for Jury Duty?

Jury duty is a long and time-consuming duty where you have to wait a lot. So, you must prepare yourself so that you don’t get bored there.

Here is some advice on how you should prepare yourself for jury duty:

• Check the court’s website for how to dress, what to do and what not to do in the court’s room.
• Prepare lunch for yourself because the food near the courthouse is expensive. Have it when there is an official lunch break.
• Parking in the courthouses is also expensive or difficult so to avoid all this you should use public transport.
• You can read books.
• Make sure you switch between activities to keep you active.
• Carry some cash in your wallet.
• Bring the water bottle, tissue, and power bank with you.
