They are brightly coloured and heavily branded
When was the last time you bought anything that was bright red and had a huge logo covering the full width? Let’s face it, the major tennis racket brands just want to make their bags as loud and in-your-face as possible with the goal of selling more rackets (which is their core business). The pros have to wear them for obvious reasons. But for most people, serving as a walking advertisement for your racket brand isn’t high on the agenda.
They can only be used for tennis
Ever take your racket bag to the gym? What about a cross training spin session? Do you cringe when you have to walk into the office with your tennis bag? Traditional racket-shaped bags and tennis backpacks are designed to be single-use products. They’re made of cheap material and mass produced
The vast majority of tennis bags are made from the same cheap materials (and probably created in the same factory in China). The nylon looks fine until you scuff it or get it slightly dirty.
