You Can Never Spend Too Much on a Wilson Tennis Bag

In past blogs, I have pointed out that I am a recreational player and will probably never be anything more than that. My aspirations of becoming the next Novak Djokovic disappeared with Milli Vanilli's musical career. It also probably does not help that I'm 6'4” and 270 pouinds, but I digress. Even though I play at the lowest level of competition known to mankind, I have always preferred the higher end of Wilson tennis bags, especially the ones that hold 12 rackets.
One of the things that I have always liked about these bags is their ability to work well for non-tennis usage. Prior to a recent trip, I discovered that one of my suitcases had a huge tear in it. It had been sitting in my car's trunk for awhile and as far as I could tell, it was caused by a large screwdriver sticking out of the toolbox and catching on the bag during a hairpin turn, which would have caused items in the trunk to slide and shift.
My options were limited. The bag was irreparable and I did not have time to buy a replacement or ship my clothing to my father's house via UPS or FedEx. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw my Wilson tennis bag and had an idea.
I decided to use the bag, a BLX Team II Super Six, as a last minute replacement for the suitcase. I knew I wasn't going to play any tennis on this trip, so I emptied it out and was able to stuff about 80% of what I originally intended to take on the trip. It worked well in a pinch and all it cost me was an extra trip to the coin-op laundry.
Anyone who says that it is overkill to have a bag like this when you only have two rackets isn't thinking ahead. The extra cost I spent on my Wilson tennis bag saved me from having to buy another suitcase or pay shipping costs. It more than made up for that extra cost on my last trip.
