What is the difference between them?

• Genuine leather

It doesn’t only mean that the product is made of real leather, but it also stands for the lowest layer of the hide from which the leather is made. When the higher grades of the leather are stripped away, the layer of genuine leather remains. It is the cheapest leather available and also, the one of the lowest quality. Genuine leather doesn’t last long and does not look as nice as the leather of higher quality.

• Top grain leather

It is the medium-quality grade of leather. It is made of the middle layer of the hide and is of an average quality. Top grain leather is used by the most of the luxury leather goods brands. Top grain leather will not age well with use and will end up looking old and worn after a year or two of use.

• Full-grain leather

The highest layer of the hide, which takes its entire grain. This layer, containing the surface of a hide, has the inherent toughness of the material. This type of leather will be naturally marked with imperfections of animals hide, like scars. Full grain leather is extremely durable, it develops a rich patina as it ages looking more and more beautiful and it’s the best leather money can buy.
