Hi lovelies,
Just in time for a bit of Father’s Day sewing, my newest pattern is available for you to purchase.
I present to you The Gentleman’s Wallet.
This sewing pattern is designed for fabrics! Quilting cottons, batiks, possibly a touch of canvas.
The wallet has got 4 card slots, 3 on the right, 1 on the left. It’s also got a clear vinyl ID pocket. Behind each set of card slots is a hidden slip pocket. Behind the card slots there’s a full width note holder and behind that another! That’s 2 full width pockets for all of your man’s junk important things.
The pattern uses very little fabric and goes together quickly, around 3 hours including cutting out, stabilising and trying to work out which rectangle is which! (As a side note, I’d recommend you label each piece to save a lot of the head scratching!)
As usual for my sewing patterns, I love it when you sell the items you make from my patterns. Please don’t ask a factory to make them for you, but by all means make as many as you can to sell at craft fairs, on Etsy or at school fêtes!
Here’s a few pictures from a couple of my versions, I’ll be back to share the testers versions with you!
Two full width banknote holders |
4 Card slots and 1 ID pocket |
Hidden slip pockets behind the card slots |
Plenty of space without the bulk |
This men’s wallet sewing pattern took a lot of brain power and maths trying to work out the seam allowances and proportions, fortunately I have some very patient pattern testers!
The pattern is not designed for cork or vinyl and leather, but if you’re looking for a super slim, slick pattern that is, pop over to CloBird designs and keep an eye out for her next pattern release, currently in the works!
I’ll be back with a tutorial on how to add a coin pocket to this wallet this week!
If you’d like to sew your own Gentleman’s wallet for yourself, your brother, husband, father, cousin, random friend, then pop over to my Craftsy store where it’s exclusively for sale at the moment! I’m sure you can find a few hours to make it in time for Father’s day, right?
