There are different types of passport covers.
Some are just covers that don’t have any other sections or pockets, while others have at least a couple of pockets for ID cards and credit cards.
There are simple passport sleeves, as well as RFID blocking passport sleeves.
If it’s not enough with just a passport cover, look for a larger travel organizer which has more compartments, as well as space for boarding passes, money, several bank cards. Such travel organizers will be useful for families, because those usually can hold several passports.
I have used several different passport holders myself – a simple clear sleeve, plastic water resistant cover, waterproof pouch, water resistant zip-around passport cover and a large travel organizer.
Until now my favorite was the zip-around passport cover, as it was compact (it was a size of a passport) yet roomy enough to hold my passport, International Certificate of Vaccination, European Health Insurance card and my second bank card. My least favorite was a large travel organizer, even though it is very roomy and features several compartments and pockets of different sizes. I just don’t have that many travel documents and bank cards to find it useful. Even it was half empty it took up quite a lot of space in my luggage.

The Green Banana Paper passport holder stands out from all the other travel passport covers I’ve seen. It’s a well-made, sustainable product, that is both stylish and eco-friendly. Since the autumn of 2017 I’ve been using this exact passport wallet on every-day basis and during traveling. When I first saw it I was surprised how sturdy and cute it is! It’s nice to the touch as well.
Every Green Banana Paper passport cover is 100% hand-made, using tough paper forged from natural banana fibers.
How exactly the paper is made of banana fibers? Banana fiber is found within the trunk of the banana tree. The natural banana fibers are forged into sheets, dried and cut. Afterwards – decorated by an artist. Banana fiber is one of the strongest natural fibers. It’s long-lasting and water resistant. So, the passport cover made of such a material will keep your documents safe during your adventures. The fact that it is made of natural materials and supports a sustainable business is an added bonus.
The Green Banana Paper passport holder is made on the tropical island of Kosrae, an island in Federated States of Micronesia!
The passport holder is compact yet roomy enough to hold hold several cards, passport, small notebook and boarding passes. It has several pockets of different sizes. There’s a large pocket on its flap that holds a sticky-note pad (included). There’s a sleeve for an ID card. You can put a boarding pass in a large pocket, behind the notepad. It will fit in, but the end will stick out, though. There are 3 slots for bank cards and one deep pocket for a passport on the right side of the cover. There’s a loop in the middle that holds a pen. The passport case is secured with an elastic band closure.
I was able to fit in two cards in each of the slots, but it’s a very tight fit. I wouldn’t recommend doing so, though. It might damage the material. Especially it might happen when trying to extract the card.
The notepad comes packaged in a natural banana fiber paper pouch (7.5″ x 6.3″ / 19 x 16 cm) with a zipper. It can be used as a pouch for coins or other documents.
The manufacturer recommends to reapply a thin coat of natural wax or apply a clear acrylic spray to increase water-resistance and extend the natural life of the passport cover.

Durable genuine leather will protect your passport from wear and tear, and durable stitching won’t let the cover fall apart after a couple of monts of even extensive use.
The cover has a nice vintage look, with The United States Great Seal embossing.
There are 2 deep pockets for the passport’s front and back cover. Even though the leather is thick, the cover doesn’t add a lot of bulk to the passport.

As I mentioned before, it’s just a passport cover. There are no ID / bank card slots. If you need a passport holder with a few slots for your cards or IDs, or other documents, this passport holder is not for you. Please note, that this passport cover also does not have RFID protection!

The ACdream RFID blocking passport cover is cheap yet durable and cute. The quality, judging by user reviews, is really good for the price. The case is made of sturdy PU (synthetic) leather, and the stitching is straight.
The passport holder is quite plushy and thick, but that’s not a problem. I see it as an extra protection.
In total the cover has 7 pockets. One is for the rear cover of the passport. The other large pocket is for notes, money or thin notepad. There’s one pocket for boarding pass, and 4 card slots. Unfortunately, there’s no strap to close the passport case.
Good thing – it’s available in several colors, not just in black and brown. Don’t worry – the texture of the glittery ones is smooth. You won’t feel the texture of the glitter, as well as it won’t come off!

For instance, you can store more than 2 passports. Just use the zippered bill compartment to store one more passport! Also you can use the large zippered compartment to store your smartphone.

The Victorinox travel organizer is really large! So, if you are traveling with a small piece of luggage only (a small carry on suitcase or backpack), look at other options. There are smaller travel wallets, as well.
