It's always difficult for women to find a tennis bag that is functional and matches their personal style. Maggie Mather has combined practicality and fashion with their new Maggie Racquet Bag.
Designer and owner of the Maggie Mather company understands what a women is typically looking for in a bag, “I imagine that the woman who carries a Maggie Mather tennis bag wants function and style but she doesn’t want huge lettering all over the bag.” Burns also stated in a 2011 interview, “She has excellent taste beyond the bag and the bag is the accessory to match how she looks.”
To meet a broad range of styles, the Maggie Racquet Bag is offered in three colors, two of them are a somewhat wild and one is a little more practical.
Burns said that the bright fuchsia and the macaw green are top sellers but the addition of the charcoal color bag is great for those with a tamer sense of style, not to mention, charcoal is much easier to match with.
The fuchsia and macaw bags are lined with a fashion-forward black and white zebra print and to add a little more color to the charcoal, the interior is lined with pink and white zebra stripes.
“I love looking in a bag and seeing something fun pop out at you,” Burns said. “The important thing is that people enjoy the colors. That makes us feel really good.”
As far as functionality goes, the Maggie Racquet Bag does not disappoint! Burns commented on the practicality and quality of her bags, “Purpose built and high quality, hopefully that is what we have achieved.”
The exterior of the bag made from heavy-duty, water repellant nylon. There is also a D-hook on the back of the bag for the padded shoulder strap but could also be used as a fence hook if needed.
The interior of the Maggie Mather Racquet Bag can hold up to three tennis racquets alone or one or two racquets along with other gear.
Velcro straps serve to keep the racquets in place so that they don’t rub together which can cause damage. The Maggie Racquet Bag has a total of five compartments; the main compartment holds the racquets and has a small zipper compartment that can hold small items.
There are three exterior compartments that sit on top of one another that can hold other small things like a cell phone, wallet, or whatever else you need to carry to and from the court.
With all the compartments your able to keep your tennis racquets protected and your things organized, “The design reflects how I like things: clean and uncluttered,” Burns said.
With the reasonable price, sleek style and smart practicality, the Maggie Mather Racquet Bag is an unbeatable deal. It was designed for the woman that wants to show off her fashion sense while maintaining functionality. “My love is to design with beautiful materials,” Burns concluded. “The bag is well constructed and we are very pleased with that.”
