What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom backpacks?
Our standard MOQ is 500 pieces per style per color. For established brands or repeat orders, we can negotiate lower quantities. This MOQ ensures we can maintain competitive pricing while delivering consistent quality across all units.
How long does it take to make a backpack sample?
Sample lead time is typically 7-15 days depending on complexity. Simple designs with standard materials can be ready in 7 days. Complex designs with custom hardware, special materials, or intricate construction may take 10-15 days. We provide CAD drawings and 3D renderings before sampling to minimize revisions.
What is the production lead time for bulk backpack orders?
Production takes 25-45 days depending on order quantity and complexity. Orders of 500-1000 pieces typically complete in 25-30 days. Larger orders (3000-5000+ pieces) may require 35-45 days. We provide a detailed production schedule after order confirmation and keep you updated with weekly progress reports.
What payment terms do you accept?
Our standard terms are 30% deposit via T/T upon order confirmation, 70% balance before shipment. We also accept L/C at sight for larger orders. For sample costs, we accept PayPal, Western Union, and T/T. Payment terms can be adjusted for long-term partners with proven order history.
Can you customize the logo and branding on backpacks?
Absolutely. We offer multiple logo application methods: embroidery (most durable), screen printing, heat transfer, woven labels, rubber/silicone patches, metal badges, and debossing. We also customize hang tags, care labels, zipper pullers, and packaging to match your brand identity.
What quality control measures do you have for backpack production?
Every backpack goes through our 30+ point inspection process including: load testing (strap strength up to 25kg), zipper endurance (1000+ cycle tests), colorfastness to water and UV, seam strength tests, abrasion resistance, and water resistance testing. We follow AQL 2.5 inspection standards. First orders receive 100% QC inspection; subsequent orders use statistical sampling.
What materials do you use for backpack manufacturing?
We work with a wide range of materials: Ballistic Nylon (1680D, 1050D, 840D), Cordura (1000D, 500D), Polyester (600D, 420D), TPU for waterproof welding, PVC coatings, Recycled PET (rPET) fabrics, ripstop nylon, canvas, and specialty fabrics. We can source specific materials per your requirements or recommend the best option for your use case and budget.
What are your shipping options for backpack orders?
We ship FOB Xiamen (nearest port to our Quanzhou factory). We also offer CIF, CFR, and DDP shipping terms. Ocean freight is most economical for bulk orders. For urgent orders, we can arrange air freight. Shipping time by sea: 15-35 days depending on destination. We handle all export documentation and can coordinate with your freight forwarder.
